Don Salvador Benedicto, also known as DSB, is a highland town located north of Negros Occidental and is known as the Summer Capital. If you’re a Negrense, this place is surely familiar with you as it is known for its beautiful sceneries, cool climate and towering pine trees.

I tried to explore DSB and found this map by Lagawander as a guide on where to go first or next depending on your preference but I know there are a lot of new cafes/restos that just opened recently but don’t worry, you get to see them while you pass by the road as they are all at the side.

The Alch

This place is still underdeveloped, they still haven’t had their signage up yet so you may slow down a bit once you passed by KM55 as this place is just minutes away from there.

This is greatly recommended if you want a solemn and intimate bonding with family or friends. They currently have two houses that can be rented overnight. Note that they don’t offer day tour yet (not sure if this will changed in the future). You may also ask upon reservation. I’d say the price is fair for a maximum of 7 pax per house.

• Weekdays rate (Mon-Thur) = 5,000

They can accommodate 6 persons per house and may add an extra mattress for the 7th person for 250.00. Each private A-frame loft house has 3 double size beds. You will have access to your own mini pool, kitchen with refrigerator and microwave, hot & cold shower & grilling area. You will also have access to the big pool, gazebo and garden area — plus the caretakers are really accommodating, they even let us borrow a rice cooker and extension chords, they will even offer to just let them know if you need to buy something from the store/market and they can go there to buy it. Oh, there are also cooking wares, utensils and towels but you may want to bring extra just to be sure. They don’t have Wifi but Smart and Globe signals are strong!

For reservations, they require at least 30% downpayment and you may pay the remaining balance once you’re settled.

If you want to go in big groups, you may rent the 2 houses and have the whole place exclusive just for your folks!

Check in time is 1:00 PM and check out time is 11:00 AM.
